My name is Melissa McCardle and I am running for Town Council of Oyster Bay because as a mom, wife and Professor who has lived in Massapequa Park for over a decade, I know the wonderful community we have deserves a leadership that put families first.

We deserve to have a government which is accountable to voters and makes decisions about policy in an honest and transparent way. I have spent my career working with individuals, families and communities and I know what it is like to listen, to connect with, and to use my voice to assure those communities are considered in the policy making that impacts them most.

For too long, we have had a Town board of representatives who consistently put their own needs above that of the taxpayers. The result is a low investment rating, burdensome and unnecessary debt, relatively little environmental policy, no development of green space, and a community that feels blocked from having their voices heard and their needs met.

I have the experience and the skills to change this and to restore honest and ethical government to the Town of Oyster Bay and along with the wonderful team I am running with we will accomplish exactly that.

VOTE!  Tuesday, November 5th
